Many of our customers prefer to establish a credit account with Asheville Oil Company to allow them to charge their deliveries or purchases to their account and receive a monthly statement of their activity. This eliminates the necessity of their being at home when a delivery is made or leaving a check or credit card information. Our credit account customers also have the flexibility to “go paperless” and have their monthly statements emailed to their computer or smartphone in lieu of the standard mailed copy. Propane tanks can be expensive pieces of equipment to own as they are pressure vessels built to contain a petroleum gas under intense pressure where it remains in a liquid form until it leaves the tank. Because of the high initial tank cost, many customers prefer to lease these tanks from Asheville Oil Company. We have an annual tank rental program for above ground 120 gallon, 325 gallon, and 500 gallon tanks. Certain minimum gallons and types of appliance requirements do apply to qualify. With the uncertainty in the cost of heating fuel, it is important to maintain proper budgeting of your fuel related expenses. The Budget Program is a 12-month plan that runs from July to June of each year to help you do just that. We look at prior years’ usage (minimum of one year will-call or Keep Fill Service history required) and the anticipated cost of heating fuel and divide this total into 12 monthly payments. You then receive a statement monthly for your planned payment and a final year end recap letter and renewal sign up for the coming heating season.
