No one likes to run out of fuel, especially over a cold snowy weekend. Our Automatic Delivery Service ensures that you never run out of fuel during the year. We monitor the weather and your typical historic usage and schedule deliveries that eliminate you checking the level in your tank and calling in orders. Propane tanks can be expensive pieces of equipment to own as they are pressure vessels built to contain a petroleum gas under intense pressure where it remains in a liquid form until it leaves the tank. Because of the high initial tank cost, many customers prefer to lease these tanks from Asheville Oil Company. We have an annual tank rental program for above ground 120 gallon, 325 gallon, and 500 gallon tanks. Certain minimum gallons and types of appliance requirements do apply to qualify. The Budget Program starts each year in July. It is not a payment plan.

Asheville Oil Company does not offer payment plans to defer paying for heating oil or propane deliveries. The Budget Program is a way to prepay instead: it spreads the cost of the coming heating season into 12 monthly payments, July through June.

Who is eligible: customers who have been on our Automatic Delivery program for at least one year.

How it works: We look at your prior years' usage and the anticipated cost of heating fuel, then divide that total into 12 monthly payments. Beginning in July, you prepay toward the upcoming season's heating bills. Each month you receive a statement showing your payments and deliveries. We reconcile in the middle of the winter and at the end of the program year, adjusting the monthly payment as needed based on weather and fuel costs.
